Singapore now the 8th Fashion Capital in the World for 2011!

Congratulations Singapore! The little island is no stranger to global Top 10 rankings but this year, add ‘fashion capital’ to the list. Singapore has moved up 7 spots from last year and is now positioned second in Asia after Hong Kong and above Tokyo, all thanks to the increasing spotlight on Singapore’s Asia Fashion Exchange, which includes Blueprint Tradeshow, Audi Fashion Festival, Star Creation and Asia Fashion Summit.

The rankings, taken from The Global Language Monitor, are based on the frequency, contextual usage and appearance in global media outlets on the Internet, blogosphere, 75,000 print and electronic media, as well as new social media sources.
